Multnomah County Law Library - Search

Incorporated as a subscription-based library by a group of Oregon attorneys and set up inside the "Library Room" of the county courthouse.

Library received a portion of the court's litigant filing fee and judges and the district attorney were given free library access.

All county officials were given free access to the library.

Multnomah County contracted with the law library to provide free access to judges, the district attorney, county commissioners, and all attorneys licensed in the State of Oregon.

All members of the public were given free access to the library.

Converted from a shareholder corporation to a non-profit corporation.

Continues to operate as a non-profit, serving members of the public and the legal community.
